Content & Library Management · Online Store Content · App Operations · Visual Design
I started as a 3D animator and ended up running content for an entire streaming platform, building the library, organising it, and growing the audience. 8+ years turning a brand-new app into one with 35,000+ paying users. The same skills that built a 20,000-video library would work just as well for a 20,000-product online store.
Where I fit
Selected work
I joined Durioo+ when it had under 4,000 subscribers and no video library at all. I built the whole process myself: uploading, checking quality, labelling, organising into categories, and publishing new videos every 3 days. Later, I redesigned how everything was organised and browsed, which made it easier for people to find what they wanted to watch. The app grew to work on iOS, Android, Smart TV, Apple TV, and Roku, and I never had a single upload error the whole time.
Think of it like this: it's the same job as running a 20,000-product online store. Labelling every item correctly, organising it into categories, publishing it everywhere customers shop, and never getting an order wrong.
I improved how the app scheduled and organised content, which led to a 48% jump in how many people used the app weekly. Durioo+ grew from 22,000 to 35,000+ paying subscribers worldwide, backed by a $2.85M funding round led by Y Combinator and Gobi Partners.
In simple terms: people came back to the app 48% more often, and the number of paying customers grew by 59%, without spending more on ads. It came from organising things better and timing campaigns well.
I secured and put together Durioo's Ramadan kids' programming slot on TV AlHijrah, Malaysia's first Islamic national TV channel, watched by over 1.2 million people. I picked the right shows from our 20,000+ video library, then handled everything needed to get them ready for TV: rights clearance, packaging, and meeting the broadcaster's technical requirements. Basically, I took content built for streaming and made it work for television.
I picked and delivered Durioo+ content for Malaysia Airlines' inflight entertainment system across their whole fleet, so families could watch trusted, halal-friendly kids' shows on every flight. This meant meeting the airline's technical requirements, packaging the content correctly, and sorting out the licensing needed for in-flight use.
I planned and ran 20+ seasonal campaigns, for Merdeka, Raya/Ramadan, Palestine solidarity, and school holidays, each one designed to grow subscribers and keep people engaged. I also managed 27 partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, broadcasters, and companies. On top of that, I introduced ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into the team's daily work to speed things up and cut down on repetitive tasks.

Platform evolution
Across all 4 versions of the app, I worked on the content side of every change, from building the original 20,000+ video library, to redesigning how everything is organised and browsed today. Same videos, smarter ways to find them.
Before I moved into content
One of the most-watched Islamic children's shows in the world. I worked on the 3D visuals: lighting, texturing, and putting scenes together, for versions shown in different languages worldwide.
A Durioo original about three siblings, picked up for prime-time TV on TV9's Jaguh Kartun slot, the same lineup as BoBoiBoy and Ejen Ali.
Follows Ammar and his rabbit friend Rapbit, with songs and zikirs teaching Islamic values in each short episode, also picked up for national TV on TV9.
That time in production, learning what makes content work visually for young audiences, shaped how I later built and organised the Durioo+ video library. I can usually tell if something's good before it's even labelled.
Events & activations
I ran the exclusive premiere at Durioo Studioo (Oct 2025), setting up all the sound and video equipment, playing the ads, and managing the live broadcast for 15 influencer groups, 4 sponsors, and TV AlHijrah's media team. That week, the app hit its highest-ever number of weekly active users: 15,759.
I handled all the technical work for the Malaysian premiere of Cats The Movie (2024), a RM45 million animated film dubbed in Bahasa Melayu. I also showed off Durioo+'s AI content filtering to media and content creators there. The event was covered by Berita TV9, Buletin TV3, and Kepochi.
I managed the sound, video, and stage playback for a nasyid concert and bazaar that drew 15,000 visitors over 2 days at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya (Mar 2023). The event was timed to launch our partnership with Unifi TV, and was covered by TV9 and other media.

A bit about me
I started as a 3D animator on Omar & Hana, one of the most-watched Islamic children's shows in the world, with over 5 billion YouTube views across 50+ countries. That experience gave me a sharp eye for detail, which later helped a lot when I moved into running content operations.
I joined Durioo+ right at launch and built its video library from nothing, growing it to 20,000+ videos and the subscriber base from under 4,000 to over 35,000 paying customers worldwide. Along the way, I got Durioo+ a slot on national TV, onto Malaysia Airlines flights, and ran the technical side of two national film premieres.
Eight years in, I still enjoy this work: the mix of creative detail, building things properly, and seeing real growth from it.
